Weekend festivities
October 29, 2005 – 8:46 pmYesterday’s festivities were great fun 
. I forgot to take photos of my dirt cups though. Strange, the kids weren’t into it as much as some of the adults. The carnival was good fun too. A handful of friends came out to have some free food during my shift at the concession stand. It rained bu that didn’t spoil any of the fun. I love the rain.. I only wish there was more. We didn’t get home til after 12 last night and the kids were knocked out. Good thing the lil miss allowed me to sleep in a bit. Woo hoo 930AMish

The karate party was today and apparently my spider cupcakes were a hit too , once again I didn’t take photos. Lame me. Then it was off to the 2nd birthday. Good food and good fun. I was too lazy to break out the camera though.
Tomorrow, I think we’ll be hanging out at home and carving some pumpkins.

October 27, 2005 – 5:36 pmThanks for the concern for my license. What a nuisance! It wasn’t my fault. Their fault! Still had to surrender my license 
. Getting it back within 5 days, or so the lady says. So I’m not allowed to drive until I get it back. Sheesh.. you know how shitty this is going to be on our family schedule. S is NOT a happy camper as the running to and from and here and there and shuffling of J lies in HIS hands until my DL comes back.
And what is the schedule like for the next few days?

UN-licensed driver
October 26, 2005 – 8:52 pmSo according to my mom there is a letter from the DMV waiting for me. I told her to open it and apparently my license has been cancelled. GRR!!! WTF!!! I am NOT a bad driver. I haven’t had a ticket in 10 years, *knocks on wood*. SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIET! A total misunderstanding. GATDAMN. Imagine had I gotten pulled over with the kids, they would’ve taken my car away and I would’ve been standing, whereever with them. How do I know this? B/c it happened to the mister. He was driving around with the expired license and hadn’t received the new one in the mail yet and wasn’t carrying the renewal paper with him, me and the lil man were with him. And the Expedition (car of the moment) got taken away leaving us on the sidewalk not too far from our house, GHETTO.
I’m hells stressing right now. So much so my head hurts.

October 26, 2005 – 9:25 amGot up this morning at 630AM and it was pouring down rain. Wednesdays are normally S’s day to take J to school, but I had plans to go to the pumpkin patch with some friends this morning. There was no way I was going to tote the wee one out in the rain if it wasn’t necessary. So I crawled back in bed and told S he was taking J to school.
Got up at 8:40 to hear that the rain had stopped, but figured the grounds would still be wet. Sure enough the news said scattered showers throughout the day . The wee one is just getting better and luckily for me, nothing escalated from those ill feelings I had the other day. So I think we might just stay home in the “warmth”.

October 25, 2005 – 3:46 pmSo it has been decided. I’m making dirt cups with gummy flies and gummy worms for J’s class party and then I’m making spider cupcakes for the karate shindig. I’m kinda excited . I just hope the wee one gives me the time to do my “cooking and crafting”!!! I’ll have to bake the cupcakes ahead of time, just for good measure. We’ll be out all day Friday ’tis why. The Halloween carnival should be great fun. At least it was last year .
Went running around with my mom and the wee one today and managed to get everything except the ‘nilla frosting. Which is okay b/c I saw the ads and it’s on sale for $1.
Cold and sicky
October 24, 2005 – 10:44 pmIt’s cold still. I don’t mind though. I think I’m coming down with something. My throat is feeling a bit scratchy . My lower abdomen is feeling kinda icky too, like I’ve gotta poo or something, sorry TMI. But nothing comes out .
Someone else isn’t feeling good either. Or at least she’s giving me that impression. Cranky pants all around eh? Not fun.
Need to think of something to bring for lil man’s class party and then the karate thing. I was thinking dirt cups for school complete with either graveyard bone candy or gummy bugs. And cupcakes for karate with spiders and webs!!!
Sounds like a plan rubberband , but then I don’t know what the other parents are bringing and it sucks when there isn’t variety and an abundance of some things. Which reminds me, I need to take a photo of the goodie bags I made for J’s class!!!
Fall Classic
October 23, 2005 – 7:49 pmLil man - 2nd place in Sparring, 3rd place in Kata.
Sparring was so close. They were at 2-2 and whoever got their shot in first won. Lil man got 2nd though. Someone said J got cheated in Kata. Everyone else ONLY did 1 form. J did 2. At that belt level, there should be an expectancy to do more. Ah well.
Big mister- 2nd place in Kata, 1st place in Sparring.
Kata should’ve had a rematch. There were mistakes on both parts so a rematch would have shown which was truly the better. S was upset with himself. You could immediately tell. Sparring, there was no question about that one!
After the tourney, we finally took the keiki to the patch. Not the one we had anticipated though. Maybe we should’ve gone there as the one we went to was serious SLIM PICKINs . Oh well.. got my patch shots in.
And then it was off to dinner, finally got my Che.vy’s fix. Always Yummo!

October 22, 2005 – 8:16 pmBoy it’s cold. Brrr… the keiki are BOTH wearing footie jammies and right about now, I wish I had some. I closed all the windows in the house and that’s a rarity b/c I at least like to have some fresh air but it’s too darned cold.
Photo session wasn’t as cool as we had hoped. Too bad for sucky customer service. And to think the place we went to specializes in kids… come on Kid.die is even part of their name. MaryBeth if only your studio was here!!!!!
Had a late lunch at Red Ro.bin which is always YUMMO. Bottomless steak fries ROCK MY SOCKS!!!
Then we came home and did homework and had the lil man practice for the tournament.

Aloha Friday
October 21, 2005 – 12:00 pmJust waiting on confirmation on the news about the mini quake.
Lil man gets off early today in about a half an hour but he requested to stay a little longer to play. So I shall oblige . The plan was to take him and his little sister to the pumpkin patch to get some photos but the big mister has a lot of stuff to do, so we shall go on Sunday during the lapse of time from J’s tournament slots to S’s, it’s something like 3 hours.
Then it’s off to my ‘rents for Friday dinner. I remember when I was younger we would have Friday dinner at my grandparents’ house, which was just down the street. Hanging out with my cousins and stuff was so much fun. Too bad my sister lives all the way across the bridge . I’m sure J would love hanging out with his cousins too, which reminds me… we haven’t seen them in over a month!!!
Weekend plans? Tomorrow getting together with some friends and their keiki to have all the keiki take Halloweenie photos together and maybe the mamas too. Then J will be practicing his tooshie off for the tournament.
Sunday is the Fall Classic Tournament!!! And somewhere in there we’re going to fit the pumpkin patch trip .

Earth shake
October 21, 2005 – 11:50 amI do believe we just experienced a lil “quake” just now. I’m sitting on the bed and felt the shake. I went to confirm it with the mister, he’s down stairs working and he said he thought it was me jumping and running around up here. We switched the channel to the news and so far nothing. Only a few minutes ’til the noon news anyhow.
Funny how the 10.16.89 anniversary passed only a few days ago. And there’s been talk of quakes lately.
It’s no wonder we felt it, we live LITERALLY on the Lom.a Prie.ta fault!!!!
Craving accomplished
October 20, 2005 – 9:04 pmI didn’t get to make it yesterday though. Mama Toots called and she wanted us to accompany her and Tootles to Tan.for.an. We walked around, had lunch, and visited the new B&N. I quite like it in there!!!! They even had the Pump.kin Chees.ecake there, so I took one to go . It was yummy I’ll have to say.
Been spending quite a bit of time at the karate school this week. Big tournament on Sunday and both misters are in it so we’re hoping big trophies all around. Let’s hope so anyhow!!!!
So today I found a lil time to myself to make my curry pockets, which in turn are really just veggie samosas made with lump.ia/egg roll wrappers in triangle shapes. They turned out quite well, I must say *pops collar*. I only rolled up a few though as I’m unsure how they would keep if I froze them rolled up and then cooked them that way. My brother likes curry pockets too, so I think I’ll bring the filling and wrappers over to Friday dinner at my ‘rents and cook some up over there.
I would have taken a photo, only thing is the filling doesn’t look too appetizing and the camera is in the car anyhow. The filling was rather simple to make, only a handful of ingredients, the only tough thing was getting the potatoes just right. Next time I’ll definitely have to cut them smaller. There’s just garlic, onion, potatoes, peas, cilantro, curry powder, ground cumin (you’re right mare), salt, pepper, dash of cinnamon , water, and lum.pia wrappers.
I nixxed the idea of putting the leftover rotisserie chicken in there and saved that for lum.pia , which I’ll probably be making, rolling, and freezing for the holidays in the next 2 days.

Craving
October 19, 2005 – 10:06 amI’m wanting a curry pocket. But I think I want to make my own. It’s kinda like a samosa but NOT. I was thinking of throwing in some of the leftover rotisserie chicken from Cos.tco. You think it might be wierd? I need to get some frozen peas and cilantro. And maybe some cumin. The recipe that I was looking at called for it, but other recipes didn’t.
I also need to return something at the costume place. I got J some white makeup but found it at another place for 30 cents cheaper AND 50% off. Score. So I guess I’ll do that today until I have to pick up lil man.
Wish me luck that I get that curry pocket right!!! Oh yeah and to think I was all Spa.mmed out. NOT . But I want just the rice and the egg with it. We weren’t allowed to bring that to the shindig. I’ll make that for dinner though, b/c J would have a shitfit if I made it without him.
Withdrawls
October 18, 2005 – 11:03 pmI think I’m going through withdrawls as of late… from what? From missing my 2x daily F.r.ien.ds viewing. Yeah, I’m a geek. The channel that airs the show has been showing the MLB playoffs, except today there wasn’t a playoff game, but we were out of the house. GAH!!! Nevermind that we have seasons 1-9 on DVD… it’s just NOT the same. LOL.
I was also having withdrawls from the internet. It was down ALL DAY yesterday. Not so much from surfing the i-net but I felt so out of the loop without my email.

October 16, 2005 – 8:50 pmGot home not too long ago from the S.P.A.M get together and everything was scrumptious. I’ll have to post the photos later… too lazy right now. Had Sp.amcoma earlier.
On the menu: quiche, lumpia, lettuce wraps, 8 layer dip, corn dogs, musubi… all with Spa.m. YUM. There was also ice cream, cinnamon rolls, and slaw, those did NOT have Sp.am.

October 15, 2005 – 11:11 amSo much for sleeping in. Lil miss and lil man didn’t allow that to happen. As much as I fought it, I was out of the bed at 8AM . Fooey.
I had a taste of the pumpkin bread I made yesterday and I will have to say it was quite a success. YUM. Me and the lil man have been nibbling on 1 of 3 loaves. There were 6 total but I left 3 at my ‘rents. 2 were plain, 2 with nuts, and 2 with nuts and raisins. We polished off the plain mini loaf *hee hee*.
I’ve been ‘net surfing for recipes too. Going to a S.P.A.M shindig tomorrow. Mama could only find 1 of her 2 S.P.A.M cookbooks and I didn’t find anything I liked in those. Poo. So I think I’ve narrowed down what I want to make. A hot (as in temp hot, not spicy hot) and cheesy dip to be served with crackers and some mini quiches. Should be tasty.
Plans for today… NONE!!! The 2 misters will be gone for a workshop in preparation for the tournament next week. Lil missy is under the weather anyhow… so I don’t want to take her out if I don’t have to. I am, however, hoping that maybe we can have Che.vy’s for dinner tonight as we haven’t had that in ages and the coupon expires today. We’ll see though.

October 14, 2005 – 9:48 pmLast night I fell asleep before 9. I’m sure it would have been sooner but I had to get the keiki down.
Today I was running around everywhere it seems. Inititally I had only planned to go over to my ‘rents to pick up a cookbook and ended up running errands for my mom and brother. *sigh*. Then when I finally got a chance to settle down, I realized I had to pick up J from school. Then when I got back to my ‘rents I was cooking. I tried out this Asian noodle recipe on the whim and I finally also made some pumpkin bread. YUMMO .
But one thing I am happy about, excuse me SUPER DUPER happy about… one of the 3 red dot spots in my area had a new shipment of the Xhil.aration knit gaucho capris . Woo hoo!!! I swooped up what I could, and I am one happy camper.
Sleeping in tomorrow. Or so I hope.

As much as I hate commercials, sometimes the tunes are the greatest. For example, HP’s use of the song “Pictures of You” by the Cure. I’ve always loved that song!!! Then there’s that current Red Dot Spot song… I like it. I’m not sure of the words, something along the lines of “save something new”. I dunno. I absolutely LOATHE that song “Dust in the Wind” though. UGH!!! I liked it in that movie “Old School” but that stupid SUV commercial just killed it for me. I was lying in a hospital bed for 3 days not too long ago and had the telly on nonstop. I swear that stupid commercial played at EVERY commercial break .
So yeah… iTunes has that *looks up* for purchase. Nifty… I can’t match a lot of the songs to their commercial though. Thanks TiVo .

October 12, 2005 – 8:29 pmSo like I said I was going to do, I went to KK and got 3 Pumpkin Spice Donuts doughnuts. They didn’t have the Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte though, not at the location I went to anyhow. And I don’t think I’m going to be listening to Mama Toots anymore 
. Ahahaha. The doughnuts tasted more like cinnamon, I want something that tastes like PUMPKIN!!! Is that too much to ask for? Apparently Mama Toots had another hit with a 7-11 Pumpkin Spice Latte… should I go try it there? Or will I have another miss ? I think I should just make my own pumpkin bread. I found a super duper easy recipe, only thing is that it called for fresh pumpkin and I don’t feel like going through the hassle of that. Does anyhow know what I need to do if I use canned pumpkin instead? I remember reading that I need to add MORE water? Hmmm????

October 12, 2005 – 12:19 pmIt’s just me and my little one today. The big mister is leaving soon for his weekly Wednesday meeting and lunch. Lil man is on a field trip. I sooooo wanted to go !!! Last year I got to chaperone, and was asked to do so again but I’ve got the lil miss now. And well… I would love to tote her around, but I really wouldn’t be chaperoning at times. Ya know? I’ll just have to take him to another pumpkin patch ’tis all.
I feel like I want to go out, she’s napping at the moment though. I was going to case out some stores and try to find lil man’s ghostly costume. Sheesh you would think that would be easy to find. I’m just so surprised he doesn’t want something commercial. I thought for sure we would be buying Batm.an or The Hum.an Tor.ch. He said NO. He’s set on being a ghost.
Mama Toots informed me that I need to get a hold of the monthly special donut at Kri.spy Kr.eme. Something pumpkin . I hope it’s good, last time she told me to try the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starb.uck’s and I was NOT sold !!! So maybe before picking up lil man I’ll head to the KK.

Babysitting
October 12, 2005 – 4:19 amI’ve been ’sitting Baby Tootles for the past 2 days and I’ll be honest it hasn’t been a picnic. I’m not saying that I don’t enjoy it but having 2 needy infants under 6 months is quite a task. Whew… thankfully it’s not for too long . Mama Toots is working just this week and they were in a pinch. I offered my help.
It takes a lot of patience and my dad complimented me on that yesterday. In the last few months while I was at work, I was in the infant room. There was always another set of hands with me though, which made it easier. And the babies ranged from 4-9 months variably. I think at that time there was a total of 5 babies in the room, the most there could be is 6. And teachers were responsible for 2 at a time. Man, that was good practice !
I feel bad for Lil Toots b/c he has to get used to surroundings and they vary daily. Unlike N she adjusts quite well. She’s actually been really good the past 2 days , very cooperative and isn’t making this too hard for me. WHEW!!! But then I feel as if I might be neglecting her at times. I give her extra lovin’ and snugglin’ at nighttime .
So yeah that’s what I’ve been up to.
I get to sleep in
October 5, 2005 – 11:46 pm… or something to that effect. That’s why I’m up so late. Wasting time away tweaking things here and there and catching up here and there. The big mister is taking lil man to school tomorrow and if lil miss allows it, I can stay in bed for a portion of the morning, something I haven’t been able to do in awhile. Sheesh, even on the weekends I’ve gotta get up and go somewhere. So tomorrow I’m gonna hang in the sheets for a bit… too bad I can’t say the same for Friday, even though the lil man doesn’t have school, we have plans to be somwhere with my mom. At least I don’t have to get up at the usual 6:30AM though, we don’t have to be at the ‘rents until before 9… so maybe I’ll get up at 7:30AM. Heh.

I like my links *looks on the right* to be in alphabetical order and I can’t figure out, for the life of me, how to get my blogroll links to do that!!! They show up alphabetically in my dashboard and in blogrolling but NOT HERE!!! What random hell order are they even in right now? I don’t know.

I think I should go to the Gen.ius Bar and have someone take a look see. I hate going to open the sites… have them partially open and then have Saf.ari close up on me.
