Friends to return to television?
B/c you know me, I’m a Friends fiend!!!! Although, if they do return I don’t know how I’d feel?!?!? I did not welcome Joey and had many questions as to why this happened, and so forth? And what happened to that show too?
*2 mins later* Big mister has said it’s false. Something about Matth*ew Pe*rry signing for his own show.
So this morning I was NOT allowed to sleep in once again, due to one of my bed partners kicking and hitting me and then screaming at me 
. Not cool, times like these make me want to move her to her OWN bed, but then again, said bed is NOT set up and then there are those moments where I just love to stare at her while she sleeps so peacefully. Now if only the peaceful moments would occur on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays past 8AM. On the days where I do wake early, she sleeps in. Of course though, right?
So this morning I forgot that I had some ground beef in the fridge, and the big mister in all of his rudeness asked at 430AM that he wants tacos for dinner. I shrugged him off and waved him away and told him no, b/c I forgot about the ground beef, all 2 pounds of it. So when I finally managed to roll out of bed this morning I browned up all 2 pounds, 1 pound meant for tacos and the other pound meant for Shepherd’s Pie. And then I looked in the fridge and found the remnants of a rotisserie chicken, so I’m going to make enchiladas with that. Mind you there’s still chili in the fridge to finish off.
Now if only the big mister will roll out of bed, so that I can go to the market and get all the rest of my ingredients. Hello Sunday 
What a neat concept…. I didn’t even think I’d be able to last this long, it’s quite an achievement for me considering the lil man didn’t even got for a week.

Hey evellybody ! Today is Friday, woo hoo and lil man gets off early today too. But we’ve scheduled him a private lesson to get his last stripe for the purple curriculum so he can finally move on to his green belt.
Last night me and the wee ones had dinner at Che*vy’s for a school fundraiser. Had a lot of fun and I’m sure the lil man did too. And the lil miss was soooooo good too. She allowed me to eat my dinner in peace.
We have a 1st birthday party to attend tomorrow, Aloha style. So I’ve gotta bust out my Hawaiian shirt. The only person that doesn’t have some Aloha gear is the big mister, and he’s being lame about it too. How not fun , freakin party pooper.
On Sunday, the two misters have to work on the lil man’s science project.

So I got a piece of snail mail today. The envelope was addressed hand written but there was NO return address. I open the envelope and inside is a portion of a newspaper clipping about a sale on cars and a post-it note “Di*na, Thought this might interest you. -J” Postmark is from San Francisco. There are a number of people that I know with names that start with J, however I don’t recognize the writing.
Made some chili and corn bread for dinner. And how was it? YummO

On another note, and not related, but somewhat … the lil missy’s poops smell like Mega Butter Popcorn, either that or mixed shredded cheese blend. HA!
The wee ones are already snoozing and it’s not even 9PM yet. Score!!!

Guess who took her kids to the mall AGAIN for another photo session? HA. Yeah that’s right, that would be MOI!!! They came out way better, at least the ones of the both of them anyhow. I thought we were going to get hooked up b/c we ran into a friend who knew the girl that was working. The only thing is that my photographer was also there, so she couldn’t exactly “hand over” the photos. They were just going to throw them away anyhow… so why not pretend you threw them away, when in actuality you gave them to me. UGH! My friend is going to try and get them, but if not that’s okay. I got one 8x10, 8 wallets, and 8 Valentine photo cards for $9.95. Not bad eh? But now if I want pictures, it’s $20 a sheet. AIYAH. Or I can always take them to a different location and use my other coupon for the same thing… but who’s to say that the photos will come out as cute? Decisions… decisions???
YAY!! Finally got something accomplished. Took the keiki to get photos done today. The shots of them together, were HORRIBLE. Why would a family portrait place only have ONE person working on a Sunday? Makes absolute no sense whatsoever. The girl was trying to do 3 things at one time so she had no patience to wait for smiles. One child looks one way and the other is looking another. One child is smiling and the other is rubbing their nose . Thankfully the shots of the lil miss came out AWESOME . I can’t wait to get them, but shoot they won’t be back til the 3rd . That’s awhile to wait for some cuteness. Ended up becoming part of their photo club, saves on sitting fees per person for 2 years and I am not obligated to buy if nothing comes out how I like. I’m planning on taking them to PP to take more photos since they’re 1 hour. Let’s hope those come out better.
My mom bought the lil man some new school shoes. Ne*w Bal*ance for only $15 with tax. Score. They were originally $45, on sale for $19.99 and 30% off F&F. He really needed them.
Other than that, didn’t do much else. Just walked the mall with my mom and the keiki and then went grocery shopping. Lil missy has her WBC check tomorrow

Yes the house is full of germs. The lil man still has this neverending cough. To top that off though, Tuesday night he woke up wailing and had his finger stuck in his ear . So S gave him some Motrin and he missed school on Wednesday so that I could take him to the doc’s. Without a doubt an ear infection . But seeing as how there’s been numerous cases of strep throat in his class, I asked to check for that, we’re in the clear.
So he’s been on the meds for a few days and everything’s been fine with him since then.
Lil miss is shooting boogers all over the place, heh. And then she rubs them all over her face. Not cute. Good thing they’re not any color, just the clear stuff.
My headaches aren’t as bad anymore, but I’ve still got a sore spot on my head as if I hit it on something. I often have to think, did I?
Big mister always has something or other wrong with him, heh!?!
So today is Saturday. Lil man is watching his Saturday morning cartoons. Lil miss is in her saucer for the time being, and big mister is still sleeping. I have no plans for today really. It’s cold and wet outside. The 2 misters have some karate thing from 1-3. I want to take the lil miss to take her 6 month pictures and some Valentine ones too, but with boogies streamed across her face… I don’t know. Heh.

I’m watching Fam*ily Guy right now, and they must’ve said Fili*pino and lum*pia a number of times. AWESOME! Yeah the whole sex in*dustry thing was thrown in there too, but still, it’s Fam*ily Guy, I’m surprised there weren’t any other culinary references in there, like household animals =X, like when most others make references. Anyhow this epi is called “The Thin White Line”, I’ll have to check our boxsets.

And I see that many of my friendlies have gone pro and I debate on going pro but then how much more will I be there and how much MORE will I be posting. I’m telling you, I’m there a lot. And I like that I can control who sees what I want them to see .

I’m hungry, it’s no wonder. Lil man ate leftovers, chicken and rice with soy sauce. I wasn’t in the mood though, so I busted cottage cheese and fruit cocktail and then shared a mango with the keiki . YAY, lil miss is into it. I just let her suck it and she got some chunks off. So yeah now I’m hungry, but I’m still not into the leftovers. I’ve been on this fish kick lately. Not so much a kick, more like a craving, and one that I haven’t been able to fulfill. Last Friday, for Friday night dinner at the ‘rents I was hoping my mom would make baked rainbow trout. No such luck . And I’m not so much into salmon at the moment. Dont know why. Just not. Nice piece of white fish would be nice…. it’s late to be eating though, so I guess I’ll just dream about it. You know what could be better than fish? Crab!!!! Too bad they’re still so damned expensive, seeing as how it’s “season” and all!

We had no original plans for today (saturday) but it seems we filled the day to a T. Ended up in the east bay hanging with my sister and her family. Big mister wanted to catch the football games so he watched those with my BIL whilst me and the girls went out. First to drop my niece off at the halau, same one that lil man goes to only kumu is there on Saturdays. Kumu was surprised to see me and the wee one there. Oh boy he’s a hard one, the keiki class gets it something easy. Lil miss was making a lot of noise so we left my niece there and went to have lunch at some Thai place out in Conc*ord. Yummo, I haven’t had Thai in ages, so I don’t know if it was good b/c I haven’t had it in awhile or if it’s b/c it was really good??? Then we headed back to pick up my niece and then headed to the mall. My sister and my niece had to get waxed. Then it was back to their house to hang out til dinner for my nephew’s birthday.
Tomorrow, lil man’s got a birthday party and then a sleep over. All with kids from his class. Should be interesting.
Then Monday, don’t have much planned. Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.
Good lord if I’m feeling old, my sister must be feeling ancient. Why? B/c today her eldest child has turned 17!!! Good Lord 17! I can’t believe that lil oba oba head is now 17. He has a job and a car. Man oh man!!!!

Funny, when I entered college I was a Marine Bio major. I graduated with a Humanity degree. Why? B/c Organic Chem kicked me in the arse. It’s no wonder that Philosophy is at the bottom, bc I loathed that class with a great passion. It was a GE requirement is all. I loved my Invert Zoology class and all the classes like that I also enjoyed all of my Asian Am classes. Ooh and I liked Math too, but I finished all that at the JC and didn’t need to take any at the U.
I found out that my local, meaning less than 5 minute drive, TRU is closing . Mama Toots told me the other day and I’ve been telling other people and they said they already knew. Uhm, hello? Why didn’t anyone else tell me? How rude! LOL. Anyhow there’s still a lot of stock on hand with the exception of the video games and electronic toys, ie. Leap.frog items. Got 2 birthday gifts and some miscellany.
I’m really sad that it’s closing . It’s been there ever since I can remember. And in it’s place is going to be a BabiesRUs. Which is good for now. Like NOW now. But in a few months, okay maybe a year, I won’t be needing to go there. The next TRUs are inconvenient. One in the heart of the city. And although it’s not far, it’s a sucky one. It’s dark in there and it seems no one works there. Then there’s the one down the peninsula, it’s a nice one and there’s a Tarjey in the shopping complex, but still it’s not a convenient one like this one. Strange thing is that the building sitting in the middle of an automall, always has been actually… and now the BRU will be there. I’m hoping that that they’ll purchase the recently closed building right next door and set up shop of a new and improved TRU. Makes sense to me, right?
Anyhow if you know which TRU I’m talking about… most items are currently 10% off. Stuffies are 20% off. And all gift wrapping materials and cards are 30% off. There’s still a lot of stock on hand, I’m waiting for the next % increase.

I made some garlic alfredo sauce, not from scratch from the packet , threw in some shrimps, and cooked up some fettucine. I was skeptical that the lil man would eat it, but he gobbled it up and even asked for seconds. There are still some leftover ribs from last night’s dinner, but I’ll serve that tomorrow along with sinangag and possibly some Sp*am. I ended up putting the ground beef in the freezer b/c I prefer only 1 pasta dish a week. Lil man’s palette sure has grown, remember when he would only eat chicken and rice? He eats things that even I won’t eat. Oysters for example. They’ve gotta be fried and battered to “disguise” them, but even then I won’t eat it.
You would think, with all the cookbooks I have I would have tried to cook something everyday… but sometimes there are just way too many ingredients and I like to work with what I’ve got, as opposed to going out and buying all the ingredients.

I utilized the Cr.ock again today with a recipe that I found at another Fl*ickr mommy’s site. Started that bad boy at 730 this morning, just so that everything would be done before the big mister went to work. The house smelled good!!! It was a bbq pork rib recipe and definitely something we will revisit. The meat was falling apart, just melting like butta. The bones didn’t even need to be picked clean b/c the meat just fell off the bones.
I’ve got some other things I want to cook this week. Some pasghetti and some other pasta thing. Just ‘cuz we’ve got the ingredients. But not in the Cr*ock.
AIYAH.. just realized I need to find a gift for the bday party that lil man is attending on Sunday. An all boys party, there’s only like 8 boys in his class anyhow. I’m wondering if there will be other kids there. I’m thinking I’ll just drop him off and go do something else. I trust he’ll behave unlike some others in the class.
Dude I’ve been missing out on some shows, I didn’t even know they started already. Fooey.

LMFAO. Why you might ask?
Well b/c for the past 2.5 hours we were sitting in the darkness. Why b/c there was NO power. All I know it was the WHOLE block, I don’t know the radius of the power outage, but man it sucks. Luckily for me, the laptop was fully charged and we have a plethora of DVDs. What we don’t have though, is flashlights!!!! We have candles though and I lit those babies up. Sent the lil man to bed, with a fight of course, b/c he was a big ol scaredy cat. Lil miss seemed to fair quite well in the dark. She was playful and quiet and then was mesmerized by the candles flickering.
The power came back on just in time too, my cellphone was beeping low batt at me. Yeah, I know I could’ve been on the corded phone in the kitchen but it was dark in there and the kids were back here in the bedrooms.
In other news, me and the mister went to the movies today . It’s been awhile. I felt nekkid without one of the keiki but I really enjoyed my movie, Memo*irs of a Gei*sha. AWESOME, so true to the book.

This is what happens when you pass out with your infant child at 9PM and your other child puts himself to bed. Poor guy. I am now wide awake and I don’t know what to do with myself.
As of late, I’ve been watching L.ost season 1 with the big mister. I’m not fully caught up to this season, nor do I plan to be. I am slowly taking it all in. I tried watching it when it first debuted and it just didn’t happen. The same happened with S.oprano.s and then the mister watching it and taking up the living room telly just sucked me in. And now, guess what? He’s disappointed though b/c I’m not caught up for the return on Wednesday. But I’m okay with that. He Tiv.os (or is it T.ivoes?) it anyway so if I really want to catch up I can. I’m about to start Disc 4.
Lil man was a finalist in the school spelling bee . How awesome is that? He made it as one of 3 1st graders and he beat out the other 1st graders. He nearly beat out a 3rd and 4th grader too for 2nd place but he lost his train of thought and made a boo boo. You could totally tell that realizes his mistake too, but didn’t bother to go back. I forgot to mention that a few days before Christmas we were at my friend’s house and he was engaging in a game of S.crabble with her, ALL BY HIMSELF. He came up with some really awesome words too, ALL BY HIMSELF!!! I think he can now join Mommy and Daddy in some brain stimulating Sc.rabble matches.
Okay lil miss is wiggling her lil body everywhere, g’nite.
okay well maybe not. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to the movies. Actually no I lie. We went back in June? Or was it July? Whenever the heck we went to Carlsbad, we saw Batm.an Begins. Anyhow a friend of mine shared this coupon with me for movies at the Me.treon. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie at the Me.treon, only b/c they’re nearly $10. This coupon can get you into a movie there or any other Loe.w’s theater Monday through Thursday for a whopping $5. YES! $5!!! Good for the month of January!

My telephone bell that is. Yeah we’re over being ghett-O fab-u-lous. The cordless we’ve had seriously had some issues, the battery life sucked. After sitting on the base all day long and charging you would think I could talk on the phone for awhile. WRONG! I could get maybe 5 minutes before the warning 3 beeps come before it hangs up on my unsuspecting friend on the other line. I learned to warn them when the first beep occured, only to be told… “It’s okay if you don’t want to talk to me.” No. Really. It’s not me. It’s the phone. So instead of talking from the comfort and warmth of my bed, I would have to drag my ass to the cold kitchen and talk on the corded phone. Yes, we have a corded phone. I demand it. There have been times where I’ve come home and the power has been out and my only solace is to get on the corded phone and talk to someone. Yeah I suppose I could have gotten on my cell phone, but sometimes I just need my corded home phone.
So yeah the phone was purchased at Tar-jey. I actually made 2 trips today after not going in over a week. And the $1 section is flowing with V-Day goodies . I had to show some restraint and not buy one of everything. LoL.
It was a pain in the butt to get up this morning, I called it though didn’t I? Lil man didn’t fight too much with me, but when I picked him up from school he was at his worst. He got in the car and fell asleep, I was tugging and pulling him from his seat and he whined for a nap. I couldn’t grant the wish though b/c he had hula tonight.
Happy Belated New Year. Rang in the New Year with my 2 keiki, just me and them. Big mister had to work , first time since lil man came along that he wasn’t with us when the year ended and a new year began. I took a nap, knowing full well that if I hadn’t, I would’ve slept through the turn over. Lil man requested pizza so we ordered Pi.zza H.ut, that’s some good pizza when you haven’t had it in awhile. We’ve been frequenting Rou.nd Ta.ble b/c of the Garlic Chicken thingermabobber. Anyhow he fell asleep for his “nap” at around 10ish and then at about 15 to midnight I went around the house and turned on every light that I could and got the change ready. It’s a thing my mom has done and now I’m doing it too!!! I’m not sure of the significance for the lights, but the change is so that we’ll be prosperous in the New Year. We throw the loose change all around the house and in every bedroom. Oh and also make it a point to have money in our wallets, so that again we’ll be prosperous in the New Year. It was like trying to move a boulder when it came time to wake the lil man. UGH. He kept saying “1 more minute”. I was blowing whistles and everything, and in that I managed to wake the lil miss from her lovely slumber. 2 minutes before the clock struck, lil man managed to get his toosh off the couch, gather some change into a hat and we rang in the New Year together.
New Year’s Day we spent with my family. We were supposed to go to S’s grandma’s house b/c his mom was visiting but she had to bring her dog to the emergency vet. So we ended up at my ‘rents. Big mister posted in front of the telly and watched football with my brother and dad and I hung out with my mom and the keiki. Had dinner there and called it a night.
At 9ish this morning the phone rang. And everyone in the household was STILL asleep. It’s going to be HELL tomorrow for everyone. Lil man is going to be a pain in the bootay, I know it. And I know I’m NOT going to want to get out of the warm bed.
Speaking of warm… my feet have been cold for the past 2 hours. Mind you I’ve been under the covers for the past 2 hours and the warm has NOT set in.
I don’t bother with resolutions, so you won’t be finding any here. But here’s to another year of lovely i-net friendships and nosey people. I still haven’t made my New Year’s cards. D’oh!!! The thought is definitely there, it’s just the motivation isn’t. I really should’ve done them sooner though b/c the price of postage has gone up again. Oh well.
