Still here

Nearly a month later, and I’m still in the islands, with no real idea of when I’ll get to go HOME! Missing the big and lil misters IMMENSELY, but the lil mister is coming out my way on Tuesday with my niece! So YAY for that. We’ll be celebrating some sort of Easter here in the islands. Not sure the plans as of yet. But for sure no homecooked yummy dinner by my mom , she just doesn’t have the time. And there won’t be any sort of outdoor egg hunt for the kids b/c there’s some mean lil mosquitoes out there. Blech!

Speaking of mosquitoes, those bastards have been feasting on my poor limbs. Sooooooooo not pretty. But thankfully the kids are coming so I have an excuse to go to the beach and tan the hell out of my legs. There hasn’t been any sort of time for beaching, except that one time with my brother, and remember I didn’t even get to go in the water, just the dipping of my toes.

It’s nice to be here for my parents but it sucks when we drop people off at the airport and see them go. My sister and older nephew have come and gone in this past week.

My dad… I’m sure you’re all wondering about him. He’s still the same. No progress in either direction. We go to the hospital twice a day, once in the morning and then in the evening to put him to sleep. We’re still waiting on a space at the hospice, but until then he’s at the hospital.

Haven’t been doing much in the way of taking pictures. Yeah I know I suck. I have been doing way too much in the way of eating though. Too much rice, sometimes twice a day. GAH! My big tummy is evidence of that. There’s too many damned good things here to eat.

Met lei’s mom and didn’t even know it was her until lei emailed me about it. Small world indeed. Haven’t had much time in the way of hanging out or contacting any of my friends who are out here either. It’s just we’re gone most of the day and then we come home and it’s time for bed.

The lil miss is growing into a terror. I swear I’m sprouting white hairs left and right b/c of her. But then people are always oogling and googling her and I just don’t get it. If only they knew her true character .

Okay so I’m being summoned to get off the computer and get in the shower so we can get along for the day. Hope you’re all doing well! *hugs*

If I have ever been on a roller coaster of emotions… this time is certainly one with lots of ups and downs

He’s still hanging in there. We’ve been told things that leave us empty and without hope and then there have been instances where we’ve been told to keep praying and hoping. Thanks Mama Toots for telling me not to give up hope. Even when I felt like I was setting myself up for a disappointment. Thanks everyone for your well wishes and hugs, they really mean a lot. Please continue to keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers. I might be here for awhile, and I’m okay with that as along as my dad is with us and well. My siblings and aunt have been here and more family are on their way tomorrow.

Numb

I’m leaving on a jetplane tomorrow with the lil one in tow and picking up my sister along the way. We’re headed out to see my parents. My dad is currently in the ICU, we’re unsure of his status at the moment. He had a heart attack so not the reason why I wanted to return to Hawaii. I hate not being there. I hate not being at his side. I hate having to hear everything filtered through phone calls with my mom and back and forth conversations with my siblings. I just want to be there already. I want him to be okay. Please.

If you’ve been following my blog for a few years now, you’ll know that my dad had a quadruple bypass a few years ago. That was such a heart wrenching time. It was a long road to recovery and thankfully he made it. So let him recover again. PLEASE.

I hate leaving the 2 misters behind. My parents are supposed to come home next week!

*sigh*

Please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers. My family would really appreciate it. I would really appreciate it!

Seriously

I need to break out the sewing machine and get it cranking again. Not that it was ever in crank mode to begin with, but I’ve been seeing HELLA cute things that I could possibly be making for the lil one, in the hopes they turn out right. I’ve got a few scraps of fabric around and there’s this tutu pattern I found that I been itching to make her. Yeah she’s a girl. So what. LOL

I thought about making her a scarf b/c she finds mine and walks around the house with ‘em. Not sure she’d ever really wear one for very long though.

So yeah the goal of the month is to make her something homemade. Make sure it’s super cute. And let her sport it around!

Sunday happenings.

Today, I was supposed to go the Bestest Flickr Momma Meet Ever, but that got postponed for another time. So instead me and the lilmiss tagged along with the 2misters downtown. They went to ComicCon and we headed to the new Westfield. HOTDAMN! I ♥ that place. What did I love the most? The kids section @ H&M! Oh so cute. Bought N a couple of cute things. Didn’t get my Beard Papa though . Sucks. Funny thing we ran into our BFFamily. We pretty much already spent the weekend with them, they’ve come over 2x already to Wii and now they’ve got their own. LoL. I was so not expecting to see them there and low and behold I hear someone call out my name.

We’re home now, picked up a pizza @ our local favorite spot and then we’re just going to hang out.
