Too much

April 30, 2007 – 7:29 pm

We’ve got to much stuff for 4 people. It sucks. I hate being such a pack rat. Seriously. Today I had to go through N’s room, which also happens to house my clothes, crafting supplies, N’s clothes, J’s bookcase and toybox, and other miscellany. Remember she still sleeps with us. Anyhow while I was in Hawaii, I had asked S to send some of my clothes with J. Well asking him to do so only created a gigantoid mess in the room and I had to clean it up today. What a chore. And even still it’s not as clean as I would hope. Lil man’s room has been turned upside down and around, but I’m leaving that to S. He plans on thoroughly going through it and rearranging it while we’re gone this summer.

In other news, the 9 day novena ended yesterday and it was a big family gathering at my parents house. TONS and TONS of yummy in the tummy food. Ohmygulay! And my contributions were a big hit. Yee-haw!

Nothing much else to report on this end.

Me time

April 21, 2007 – 6:34 am

All is quiet on the homefront, save for S’s quite lulls. It’s roughly 6:30 in the AM and I’ve been up for the past 2 hours. We’re back home, in the Bay Area. Services are this weekend and Monday. It’s going to be a long weekend, physically and emotionally. We had S put together a slideshow of sorts with photos of my dad and some music, we’re going to play on the laptop and my sister and I were balling our eyes out as we took a break from cleaning our parents’ house. I don’t think it’s quite hit me yet. It’s been awhile. Still adjusting to being on Pacific Standard Time, it’s hardest on the lil miss as she’s been missing her naptime and has been falling asleep on the ride home and waking up in the shifting and then stays up when all I want to do is sleep. Not fun.

Flying with angels
Where are you going, inside your mind
I guess were always livin’
on borrowed time
Yes I will be here, to hold your hand
just close your eyes and sleep
I understand
Chorus:
You’re flying with angels
above us all and I’ll be here
to catch you if you fall
If others leave you, you know I’ll stay
My dreams will whisper to you
and guide you way
so sleep my darlin’ (sleep my darlin’)
one kiss goodnight (one kiss goodnight)
another song awaits you
with rising eyes
Chorus 2x
Oh I’ll be here to catch if you fall

Feeling cowish

April 6, 2007 – 10:05 am

Yeah the pudge around the tummy just seems to get bigger daily. And it doesn’t help that my skinny waif of a niece is here. We went shopping yesterday, totally unintentional, as we were just supposed to grab lunch and have the kids visit the Easter bunny. One of the cute clothing stores was having 40% off the entire store, so we went looking in. Sooooooooo many cute things, none of which looked good on me. My niece, on the other hand, walked out of there with HELLA cute tops and such. Even mom got a cute top, she said she’ll wear it for Easter. Ugh.

New sounds from the backseat

April 4, 2007 – 10:26 am

The lilman and my niece flew in yesterday and imagine the look on the lilmissy’s face. She couldn’t control herself she was a babbling mess. Heh. She didn’t want to miss a thing, that she missed her nap and was up for over 12 hours before she got one in, and a short one at that. Here’s a small snippet of a conversation that my 2 were having after the airport on the way to Mitsu-Ken for some grubbin garlic chicken.

lilman: N I missed you so much. And daddy missed you.
lilmiss: I miss you
lilman: You’re so cute. I love you!
lilmiss: I lab you!

Yes my daughter is ever so fobulous. Just ask my sister. So everything in that above conversation just imagine it in toddler speak with a fobby accent. Maybe she’s just been watching a little too much Wowowee since we’ve been here

More news in snackage… . We’ve had the strawberry ones but now Costco has the new Blueberry ones. Yumm-O! Me and the lil miss fight over the purple and blue ones all the time. That we had to buy a box. Now if only I had the lil book that the lil man had when he was growing up so the lil miss can entertain herself. I’ve been looking at Ross for the book but they’ve been out. Now if only I could have my cereal and milk with banana slices *sigh* damn lactose intolerance. So yeah if you’re a cereal eater, or your local Costco is sampling it, definintely take a taste. We like it.

Snackage

popcorn I am a snack fiend. I loves me some chips, popcorn, cookies, whatevahs! When I’m here I like to pick up these packs of popcorn. And they’re not just any kine popcorn either. Sure they come with your usual pack of microwave popcorn but the other goodness enclosed in the packing makes it for some good grindz. There’s a baggy in there too to make it a one stop snack after you’ve popped it in the micro. There’s the yummy extra butter packet, that I swear has sugar in it. And then there’s the other packet with the lil bits of arare and furikake mix. Yumm-0! There are different varieties even, mine being the Typhoon version that comes with some sour cream and onion powder, as opposed to the arare. And I know there’s a version with li hing too, I’ve never had it though. I can only handle so much li hing at a time, preferrably on my fresh cut Maui pineapple. Okay so let me get to my point… since being here I’ve now encountered 2 new packets!!! One with Kim Chee flavor that I’m actually quite curious about and then there’s a Korean BBQ flavor… interesting huh? Anyone else out there try these? Should I brave it and let my tastebuds dance a bit? Or is it not worth it?
