Shopping
June 29, 2007 – 12:38 amSo it’s funny how things range in price here. A gallon of whole milk at the regular grocery store runs you about $7.29. Like OMG!!! Yeah! Costco doesn’t sell the Kirkland brand of milk here either, ya know the kind in the box that comes with 2 1-gallon jugs, that I swear sells for about $5 in the mainland. We’ve found that Kmart is the cheapest @ $3.89 a gallon.
I’ve found some super good deals on clothes here too, b/c the need for sweaters, long sleeve tops, and long pants isn’t much here especially this time of year, or really any time of the year really. I found a super cute crocheted sweater with bell sleeves at BabyGap for $4.97! YOWZA! And a pair of shoes too for $3.97. And then a pair of warm up pants for the boy at OldNavy for $3.97.
Planning a super duper small shindig for the lilmissy’s birthday for next month. So kuwawa
, not our usual blasts that we’ve had for lilman, but it’s okay. We’ll invite the kids from next door have some pancit and cake and a few other goodies and we should be good to go. Been trying to think up some goodie bag things, found 24 count packs of Cray.ola crayons @ Walm.art for 20 cents and 6 pack of Miracle Bubbles for $1.89. Was thinking I need to go to Maru.kai and see what other goods I can find and some candy/snacks and those should be good to go!
Aloha Friday!!!
I have been dying to try some fresh strawberries wrapped in mochi and now I get the chance
So today I met with some ladies for our Ladies Literary Lunch, aka the Book Club. We met to discuss our last book and we were given the next installment, which it seems I’m already into. Quite intriguing. Very rich in language. I’ve had to underline a few words already, just for knowledge sake. Ahaha. I’m feeding my brain, which hasn’t happened in awhile
