I’m tired, seems I’m always tired as of late. I blame the baby b/c despite having a full tummy, taking consistent naps, sleeping at the right time… she still wakes and OFTEN through the night as well as having her internal clock wake anywhere between 630 and 7AM. UGH. I’m not even going to ask what’s wrong with her not sleeping through the night yet. Her siblings didn’t do it, so why should she, right? It would be a nice thing, but I’ve accepted it!

Thanksgiving has come and gone and it was a good one. Being with the ones that matter the most and most importantly Mama wasn’t all the way across the ocean. Tummies were satisfied. Food was good! Now to figure out what to make for Christmas . I made piggies in blankies, lumpia, and pumpkin cheesecake. More than likely I will make lumpia and piggies again, but will do something different for dessert.

As in past years I braved the crowds with Mama Toots and did midnight madness. This year I didn’t. I just couldn’t fathom bringing the baby out at that hour of the night. I can’t leave her with anyone, especially not at night b/c I am her human pacifier, lest I be gone, sure as hell no one will sleep. Instead I woke at 530 and got ready and headed to Tarjey. Picked up a bunch of good loot for gifts and then headed back home to pick up lilman. For some reason the lilmiss had already been awake and was aware that I was heading out, she wanted to come too. Funny thing is she thought it was still night, b/c it was dark. And of course, had to bring baby along. They did very well. Then it was off to my mom’s to p/up mom and SIL. We headed down the peninsula and they went to town at both Old Navy and Guess. Crowds surprisingly weren’t bad at all the whole day. Thank goodness.

26 more days til Christmas!

For the life of me, I can’t remember where I put the Sleeping Beauty DVD!?!? Bought it at Target last month and I have not seen it since. OY!

I need to go through the girls’ clothes and put some away and give back or donate the smalleys from babyM. Been stocking up on some stuffs for her b/c there was a gap in the 6-18 handmedowns. And for some reason I need to go thru some things b/c onesies seem to be lacking. Where the hell did they go? Lilmiss was wearing stuff from when lilman was a baby, so where did those go?

Today I finally got J an appt for his flu shot. Thankfully it went fast. When we arrived at the office it was packed. Not a seat in the house. As soon as a seat opened up they called him in and I also made an appt for babyM’s 2nd dose for next month. Then we were off to the lab to get her blood drawn. OY! I can’t believe she even put a tourniquet on her. She’s so itty bitty. I had to hold her and she didn’t like that one bit. She let out a teensy cry from the poke and was more irritated that she couldn’t move.

Thanksgiving is next week. Weeee!!! I’m so excited. I’m appetizers and half of desserts. I’ve gotta roll lumpia next week and I need to think of another appetizer I forgot about the pigs in blankets those always go well at family gatherings. My mom ordered kutsinta and maja blanca and I’m making a pumpkin praline cheesecake. Mom’s is making the turkeys, yes 2 and the mashed ‘taters. My sister has side items. I’m wondering if anyone else is coming to Thanksgiving?

I want to watch Twilight, of course! But I think I’ll have to wait til AFTER the holiday weekend. So I can watch it in the middle of the day when all the screaming FANatic tweens are in school. I had to go back thru my archives to see when I read the stinkin thing. Over a year ago. And to think I was encouraging my niece to read it back then, did she heed my calls? Of course not, and guess who’s reading all 4 of my books now? HA! I told my sister she should read them now. She’s gonna try. Or so she says.

I finally had my appt with the optometrist! He was soooooooo nice! My glasses broke while in Hawaii and I need to replace them asap b/c the super glue will only last so long. I also noticed a bit of a change in my prescription anyhow. I”ve had these frames for a loooooong time too so it’s time for a change, and I need to refill my contact prescription too.

Which reminds me, I need to set up an appt for the boys. J has been complaining about not being able to see. Most of the kids in his class wear glasses already. It’s probably from all the gaming and computering.

After my appt we headed to Sp.ortmart to get J some cleats and shin guards and socks. He has his first soccer practice tomorrow! Was looking for red socks b/c his uniform is red, but they didn’t have ‘em. Daddy of course picked out the shoes b/c he has to look cool. Ahahaha. $76. AUWE! That’s not including the fee we had to pay in order for him to play. And then it’s basketball after this, gotta get him shoes for this sport too. Damn this kid is expen$ive, but I suppose we’re saving a bit from not putting him in karate, right?

Yesterday the boy was sent home with two books to cover. I’ve always wanted those stretchable book covers, so off I went in search of them. Why did Tar-jey only have florals and pinks left? I dug through the bin and there happened to be two really ugly brown, orange,and yellow with footballs and helmets on ‘em? UG-LAY! I picked them up anyhow. Then I went to Rite Aid and came across some Pokemon ones by chance and an ugly plain orange one. I figured he would have more books to cover as the days go by.

So I get home and guess what? NONE OF THEM FIT! Ugh! Too small! So if I have time today I’ve gotta return them all, save for the orange b/c the packaging didn’t hold up well when I opened it.

So I had to forage for paper bags. I was hoping to come across some shopping bags from Nordy’s or Old Navy b/c I like the whites, but that would require shopping there and that hasn’t happened in a great while. So good old brown paper bags is what it was.

Back to school supplies… so while I was looking for those book covers I was also looking for a solution for his pencil pouch. Saw a whole bunch at Tar-jey. But… they were all for girls. ALL. OF. THEM. Florals. Pink stripes. Purple dots. WTF? And if it wasn’t those it was High School Musical or Camp Rock. Then the same at Rite Aid with the all pinks, Bratz, and the like. Did all the boys buy out the pencil pouches I doubt it.

I looked around the house for some sort of pouch for him to use, and all of mine are rather girly. *scratches head*

Seriously?!?!

I was sitting on the pot today thinking about how much we spent on the lilman’s uniforms. My mom bought him a bunch of the white standard polos for $4.80 each when we were in Hawaii from Old Navy. We scored on those b/c they were 2/$12 and mom got an additional 20% off. The uniform place wanted $16.75 EACH for stinkin white polos. Sheesh. 3 pairs of grey corduroy pants, 2 button up cardigan sweaters in red (yuck!), and 1 oxford shirt (for mass days). Total= $185. AUWE!!! And we still haven’t bought his shoes or school supplies yet. His shoes have to be ALL black, no colored logos, no hightops.

4th grade. I can’t believe I am the mother of a 4th grader. HOLY SH!T! Seriously? I refuse to believe it. He just turned 9 for goodness sakes.

4th grade I was the star of our volleyball team. I knew nothing of the sport, I just figured “What the heck! all my classmates are signing up too.” And since then I’ve always loved volleyball but only played from 4th to 8th grade. We’re hoping that lilman signs up for soccer and at his own request basketball. CYO here we come.

Lilman is starting a new school again. Catholic school this time around. We know a handful of kids at the school already so his transition shouldn’t be too bad. *crossing fingers* For K-2nd he went to a private school that we absolutely loved. It was nice and small, he got the attention he needed as well as being challenged. Shootz he was learning Spanish, music, PE, History, and Science in Kindergarten! Yes! In addition to the other stuff, it was amazing. But the owners of the school sucked. Majorly. And they raised the tuition, so there was no way we would able to keep him in there and survive. He did 3rd grade in our neighborhood public school and he wasn’t challenged. It seemed he was repeating a lot of the work that he had done in 2nd grade and they refused to advance him b/c of age. Lame. B/c there are always so many budget cuts there weren’t any extra curricular activities or classes. So hopefully he’ll be challenged again this year.

I’m dreading the mandatory service hours though. OY! With 2 little ones at home, I’m kinda limited with the sorts of help I can give them, unless they don’t mind me bringing them along to help. Which I’m sure they’re not. Pfft!

1 more week of summer for all of us. *sigh*

Now that the lilmissy’s birthday is over with for this year. My mom’s is fast approaching, then mine, and then the boy’s. I planned our trip so that we’d be with my mom on her birthday! YAY . And then we’d leave before mine and the boy’s. Although, maybe I should have stayed and been with the one that birthed me for my birthday?!?!?!

I’m sure it will be plenty low key being that we fly home the night before. Jet leg. Unpacking. Being home after not being home for nearly 2 months. Blah!

Someone asked me what I wanted for my birthday. Not that I get gifts anymore. And not that I really expect to anyhow. My mom is funny and while we’re out and about, if she sees me eyeing something, she’ll say “You want it? I’ll get it for you for your birthday.” So I often tease her about it and pick up random things.

Of course if I could have anything in the world and money was no object, jewelry would be on that list, as well as my dream car, and another trip somewhere.

What have I been coveting as of late?

Blame it on the child in me. I’ve always loved Hello Kitty and never could understand the girls who didn’t. Yeah yeah I’m brainwashing my kids to love her too! So what

I loved it from the beginning. Yeah I’m a bopper at heart. Guess where I’ll hopefully be on October 10th. LMAO. But yeah I loved this show and would love to add this one to the collection.

B/c my other point and shoot went on the fritz before this trip I’ve been lacking on a small compact camera. And one that shoots video too. Been missing all the baby’s moments on film, but I’ve got them in my memory. Right? Pfft.

My “gear” is so lacking when it comes to the 40. I like to take pictures as much as I can, but I’m not so much into the fancy gear. Something that won’t break the bank, and I can still use on a daily basis. Mama Toots has this 18-135mm and I quite like it.

Not so much needs but I can have wants on my birthday right? I would say that I need clothes as of late b/c my wardrobe is quite dated. It could use some sprucing up. But after losing the weight and then some, then gaining a bit of it back again, I am in no mood to look at myself in the mirror.

We’re back in the islands and it feels good. But I’m missing the mister something awful. We were s’posed to have an iChat date, right now actually but he had to do something for work and has rescheduled for 10PM HST, which is 1AM PST. Don’t think I’ll be awake then b/c I slept late last night, woke early this morning, and didn’t get any kind of sleep on the plane. But, I’m actually not tired now. The crappy thing is that the wireless is acting wonky right now so I’m restricted to sitting in the “office” wired. Pfft. This sux. I can’t watch my k dramas in bed.

The plane ride wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated. Thank the powers that be! Woo! I gave lilmiss her dosage of Benadryl while we were still at the airport and she fell asleep before the plane ever left the gate. The baby fell asleep on and off too, so my flight was awesome, here’s hoping that my return flight is just as nice. Lilmiss woke up just in time for lunch, but the crappy thing about sitting in the way back is that they ran out of certain lunches. We were all hoping for sammiches but ended up with pasta. Pfft. I didn’t even eat any of it. Sux and I didn’t get much of a breakfast to begin with. So surprise, surprise the first thing I wanted to do when we hooked up with my mom was to eat. She had some Nanding’s Spanish Rolls that she had picked up before getting us. So we just munched on those and headed home for some of her homecooking. Managed to take a nap with the baby but it was interrupted a number of times by the boy.

We’ve already managed a trip to Walmart and Times . Baby needed some diaper rash cream and I actually need to get a flat iron for here. I decided that bringing one back and forth is lame and that I’m better off getting one for here. They didn’t have the one I was looking for. Grrr!!!

Baby is having issues with the heat, but other than that it seems the kids have already slipped back into their usual routine here. They even went out to play with the neighbors. Heh.

Alooooooooooooooooooooooooha!

Funny how I had a “craving” of sorts for White Choco Chip and MacNut Cookies all b/c of that teaser I had from Subway. And so I was on a mission to make my own. My mom brought back HELLA macnuts from the Big Island. And of the baking variety too. Woot! B/c them suckahs is expensive. I just needed to buy butter and white choco chips! And then while out with my brother and his gf today they bought some at Mrs. Field’s! I told him I was going to make some and he said he wanted them right then and there. LoL. The recipe I used yielded like 6 dozen, and they’re NOT nibblers either. I’ll definitely be sharing these.

White Chocolate Chip MacNut Cookies

1 cup butter softened, 2 sticks
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs, room temp
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups white chocolate chips
2 cups chopped macadamia nuts

Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugars til fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla. Beat well. Blend in flour and baking soda. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes! Remove immediately and put on wire rack for slightly crispy slighty chewy cookies.

Nomnomnom.

I saw this Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream @ Lucky’s the other day but had no desire for ice cream. What with the hot weather and all… I’ve been on the hunt. And so far no luck! And what more, I’ve got a coupon for $1 off purchase of 2. Hmmph!

I’m a sucker for cheesecake. Oh for the love of cheesecake. And brownies aren’t too bad either, I prefer them with nuts though, but plain with ice cream is yummy.

You get the best of both worlds….. lmao, in one bite.

The weather has certainly cooled down but the fan is still running and it’s nearly 10:30PM.

Mama is leaving! Geez. My brother is scheduled for surgery on the 10th. She’s going back to check on the house, start up the truck. Tie up some loose ends. And probably just get away and take a breather from everyone. So she leaves this Tuesday as originally planned and she might come back on the 8th or 9th. So right now OUR flight plans are on hold b/c if she comes back she doesn’t know how long, and if, my brother will need her. OY!

Today was the first day of the heat wave. It wasn’t so bad but tomorrow is definitely going to be hotter. I can already feel myself melting away.

BabyM got her ears pierced today. We went last week and they told us she had to be 3 months, she turned 3 months yesterday so we got ‘em done. Now there’s no questioning if she’s a boy or girl anymore, I hope! Despite her wearing pinks and such, people would still ask boy? girl? I think it’s her hair that throws people off. There’s just so much of it! I was trying to record her with the p&s and still get some shots with the d40 but I couldn’t handle both. And then N nearly knocked me unconscious. She dropped the pass through door of the kiosk on my head. It still frickin hurts! But yeah M did better, to my recollection than her sister. Her scream wasn’t as bad as N’s but she did milk the sympathy. So cute! Heh. Despite her not knowing where her ears are or how to touch them, here’s hoping nothing goes wrong with ‘em. I told my mom that her eyes seem to sparkle more with her added bling. Yay!

I seriously need to take pix and post to the shopping blog. Pfft!

Got the candy bars for the favors! Need to finish the birthday gift for Mama Toots. Ordered the cake for Sunday. Selling my laptop to my brother for $625 so I need to get this one emptied out for him.

It’s May did you know that? Sometimes I don’t know where the time goes. We’ve had something every weekend and this weekend is no exception. Both days gone. And Mother’s Day to boot. I’ve got some shopping to do tomorrow, here’s hoping I don’t run anyone over with my cart b/c I get irritated fast when it comes to annoying peeps and having to get things done. I’m on a mission and I know what I need to get and where it is in the store. Why I waited til the last minute, I don’t know. Well I guess I do, but tomorrow is when it’s happening.

The boy had sparring today after a month long break from it, and he was very excited b/c he didn’t have that kid he gets intimidated by. I think he stepped up his game. Which is good! He needed that boost of confidence. It sucks though b/c as he’s getting back into karate mode and being interested in it, he’ll be gone again for the summer as we’ll be taking our summer vacation to the islands.

The lilmiss has become quite the ham. She’s so outgoing and has a magnetic personality that she can nearly charm the pants off of anyone. Oh but she certainly has her moments. Don’t let her fool you. She’s a sh!t stirrer (not in the literal sense), she causes problems ALL.THE.TIME. But in the end always turns out becoming the victim. OY! This girl! From hitting her brother to waking the baby, it always becomes their fault! And then everyone makes noise at the same time, causing the blood pressure to rise.

The baby. Poor thing has a cold of some sort is all kinds of nasally and boogery. ICK! You can hear it when she breaths and nurses. And the only time I can relieve her of some of that ickiness is when she sneezes. She has become quite the cooer. And I ♥ it so much!!! Putty. In. Her. Hands. She’s got the sweetest smiles too. Oh and her pouts are adorable, followed by her screaming like a banshee, which isn’t adorable. At. All. But the screaming and crying have slowed down a bit. And so has the sleeping. DAMN! Heh! She’s awake for longer periods of time but she doesn’t like to sit. Just sit. It’s sitting with shaking. Sitting with swaying. Sitting with dancing. Sitting with jiggling. Which all occurs in someone’s arms.

The mama is leaving soon. Oh no. What are we to do? It’s only a short time that we’ll be apart from her though as we’re headed to the islands in June! Hopefully. That’s still up in the air as plane tickets have yet to be purchased.

Lmao… couldn’t think of another title. With the new belt comes the change of schedule. We’re back to Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I prefer Mondays and Wednesdays better b/c the latter end of the week is free. The boy is back to most of his friends which is nice and most of these people were surprised to see babyM. Most were thinking she’s only weeks old. Heh. Lilmiss of course was excited to be hanging out with her homies. Heh. TOo cute! They were giggling away in the corner, making tons of noise. But the nice thing is that no one complained and actually got a lot of smiles and laughs b/c they were being so cute. I was the one that was constantly telling her to calm down.

They started a yoga class at the school too, during the boy’s class, only upstairs. And I would looooooove to try it out but I have no one to watch babyM and the lilmiss. I’ve actually never done yoga and I’ve wanted to try. I could use some stretching and breathing exercises. I need to step up my game if I really want to keep up this weight loss. Funny as of late, I’ve been getting people tell me that I look like I’ve lost weight, which is always a nice thing . But it’s the maintenance that I need to keep up with. I feel like my appetite has been picking up again, which it should b/c I’m eating for 2. Literally. And I will be until she’s roughly 6 months. I’m going to hold off feeding her solids. Seriously. I just can’t handle the stink-ier diapers. OY!

But as an aside, I’ve decided to TRY and make the babyfood this time around. I came across the Beaba which looks like a very useful tool but @ $140, I think I’ll just need to stick with the Magic Bullet.

Today after running errands for my brother, the girls and I went trolling the mall. I had an exchange to do at Gymbo and then just decided to kill some time and do some laps and window shopping. Found out the mall is possibly getting a Trader Joe’s. How nice for the SFSU students! But it’s kinda crazy considering there’s one about 2 miles away. Hopefully then it’ll reduce the traffic @ that location! Went into H&M. I normally don’t go in there, but like I said I had time to kill. I only really shop for the girls there but they had some cute dresses! Didn’t but anything of course.

Spent quite a bit of time in the ladies’ lounges too. Had to do lunchtime feedings for the baby. Nordy’s is definitely nicer. There was a girl in the Macy’s lounge having her lunch in there. Literally. She was feeding herself which I thought was weird. Why would you want to eat in the bathroom with the sounds of the toilet flushing? I’m sure babyM felt the same way but I’m not about to air my goodies out to the public. I’m just like that. I totally forgot I should’ve gone into a dressing room! At least I wouldn’t have to hear the toilets flushing. Heh. But yeah the girl was just sitting in there enjoying her lunch. Even if I were alone, I would’ve gone outside to the mall to one of the benches or even the food court. Whatever floats your boat, I guess?!?!?

No plans for tomorrow and with the cost of gas here I really shouldn’t be going out. So I think I’ll stick to the homefront and try to get some housework done, here’s hoping babyM allows it. OY!

We had toyed with the idea of getting the lilmiss a bed for her room. Before the appearance of the baby she had been saying that she wants a Princess bed. Which just meant that we would get Princess paraphenalia for the bed (sheets, comforter, etc). Yes she still sleeps in the same bed. I’m a big believer in co-sleeping. We did it with the lilman and the lilmiss, and I wanted to NOT do it with the baby, but it just works that way. Nothing like watching your babies sleep peacefully and right next to you. They grow so fast.

The bed was never bought, it still will eventually but we have one of those convertible cribs that was being used as babyM’s dresser. Ghetto-fabuloso! So today we went out and picked up some toddler bedding. Originally it was supposed to be the Princess set, but of course, with our luck, they were out. N decided on Dora, and if you know me, I’m not very fond of her. Ick! Her other options were Diego, Thomas, and Mickey and with much persuasion on my part, Mickey was the one to come home . Now if only it could have been fairies or Kai-lan!!!

Knowing full well that this transition wouldn’t be an easy one, we moved the crib into our room as the toddler bed. She watched as I put the beddings on and she even dug up her Mickey Mouse stuffie to put on the bed. She sat on it. She laid on top of the blankets. And everytime anyone would ask her if she was going to sleep on it she would say, “Not yet!” Very strongly! So time came. She got in no problems. But she wouldn’t really lay her head down or pull the covers up. I kept telling her to lie down. She didn’t want to. I turned off the lights, but still had the tv on. Then the tears and whining ensued. Pleas to come out b/c she didn’t want to sleep there. I sat down next to her and she crawled out and into my lap, and then she made a break for her daddy’s side of the bed and tried to get in. I caught her before she could. Coaxed her back in with the bribe that I would read her 2 books. She got back in. I read the 2 books. Rubbed her back, her face, her tummy, her back again, and her tummy again. Then I held her hand. Then it was potty time. By that time, BM returned from his work dinner and she conned him too. Oy! This girl! Then she said she had to do #2 but I had to take her. So off we went to the bathroom again, she did NOTHING!. But I don’t have a problem with that. I’d much rather take her than have to strip the bed b/c of an accident.She got back in bed and it was back to hand holding. And sooner than I know it… she’s asleep.

The whole process took 2 hours! OY!

I’m wondering how long it will take tomorrow night. And I’m rethinking this whole thing with babyM sleeping with us for that long, although J slept with us much longer!!!

This weekend is down and now to prepare for another week of busy-ness. Lilman is finally on Spring Break so I’ll have to anticipate for some headaches and fighting. AIYAH! Maybe I can mediate and make time for the park and outdoor fun. The weather was phenomenal these past 2 days but it looks like the fog and chill have rolled in.

BabyM is officially 2 months old today. Happy Birthday to her . Unofficially we had Beard Papa to celebrate . Yesterday @ birthday #1 we got to taste Sibby’s, and oh the yummy goodness! Birthday #2 had the most amazing Thomas the Train cake, too bad it didn’t taste as good as it looked. I looooooooooooves me some cake. Doesn’t matter to me how it looks, it has to taste right though. I’m not saying I’m a cake afficionado, I just know what I like.

Today it was just me and the girls hanging out at first. We headed to the mall for some orange chicken. Made a visit to the pet store to see the puppies, but apparently everyone had that idea so we couldn’t even see them. N now has a favorite visor from where else? The Disney Store! I asked her to choose between the Stinkerbell baseball cap or the full on Fairies visor. She chose the visor and surprisingly has been wearing it all day. She still is . Then got a call from my mom, she wanted me to bring her to my aunt’s house. So we did that and hung out there for awhiiiiiiiiiiile. She will be my hook up for Tagalog and Korean movies. Yay!

This week we’ve also got a Baptism class to attend, a birthday to celebrate, babyM’s 2 month WBC, and then a baby shower. Hope you had a good weekend.

I come here everyday. I type out a paragraph or 2 and then highlight and press delete. Believe me, it’s nothing. Just boring crap. Random thoughts and usually I don’t give a sh!t and just let my brain ramble out the jargon which I’ve been doing, just haven’t been caring to share it.

Life has been busy and hectic and up and down and up again. Lots going on. Lots to prepare for. Lots to do. Emails to send out. That haven’t been done.

We “celebrated” my dad’s 1 year anniversary on Wednesday. I feel like celebrated is the wrong word. B/c it doesn’t even seem like a year has gone by without him *sigh*. Met up with the fam bam @ the cemetary, said some prayers and adorned him with flowers. Had breakfast with them all as well, and then headed home. My mom and the girls and I headed out though and we got an alarming phone call about my grandmother (my dad’s mom). The original call was to tell us that she passed. on. the. SAME. day. as. my. dad. My mom couldn’t handle it and there we were standing in the middle of the store shopping. We were both in shock. We were just there on Sunday. I couldn’t go in b/c both girls were asleep in the car but my mom did. And she also went on Monday with my brother. Then we get another call nearly an hour later to tell us that she was resuscitated. I think it was all a misunderstanding. I don’t think she ever really passed. She’s stable though but has pneumonia, so if you can, just say an extra prayer for her recovery. Please. Thanks.

Like I said, up and down and up again.

In other news, babyM is 8 weeks and 1 day old. *sigh* Where is the time going? I keep telling myself that I need to record her infant cry b4 it changes. So much for taking pictures of her everyday. I’m so bad about that and never mind that I have the P&S in the bag in the car with me at all times or that the iPhone takes pictures too. I take pictures of random stuff all the time. Heh.

The weekend is nearly here and we’ve got 2 birthday parties that overlap each other. We’re going to both though. Gifts have been purchased and wrapped so I don’t have to worry about that thankfully. Lilman is on Spring Break next week unfortunately we’ve got a meeting to attend Wednesday night and a dr’s appt on Thursday. As well as somehow celebrating the BM’s birthday too b/c that’s on Thursday as well and he’s more than likely working.

I can’t sleep. Can you tell? And I got up fairly early this morning in anticipation to get out the door early enough and pick up my mom. I snuck out of the bed while both girls slept and managed to get a lot done before the baby realized I had been gone. Yeah! She’s difficult like that sometimes. It sucks.

Lilmiss woke up first, just as I had finished drying my hair. As I was taking her potty the baby started to stir and then as we were in the bathroom the full on howling ensued. Sheesh. I let her howl though, washed up the lilmiss and managed to get her dressed. Then it was the baby’s turn to wash up and change clothes. And then a feeding and we were out the door. Only to find my mom not even ready. Sheesh #2.

We finally headed out and about. As usual the keiki, at least the older 2, made out like bandits. Mama is cool li’dat . Such a spoiler.

BabyM has been having issues. Tummy issues that is. And my mom is saying that it’s coming from what I’ve been eating. Which makes sense, being that I am her food source, and whatever goes in my body goes to hers. On Easter Sunday my mom got a big taste of one of her blowouts. OY! It was a doozy. Not only did she get her Easter outfit, but she got my mom’s too! Luckily mom was only wearing jeans and one of her usual button ups. I thought it was from all the lumpia that I was stuffing my face with. My mom thinks it might have been the spinach salad that I had been stuffing my face with, . Either way something didn’t agree with her. She’s been having a bit of spit-up issues as well. I feel so bad for her. I don’t know what to do. So today I asked my mom to make tinola in the hopes that it would help baby’s tummy issues, only to have her be HELLA gassy and fussy. I nearly almost went out in search of gripe water b/c nothing could help her. Then to make matters worse, she had another big spit up. And everytime she spits up, it also comes out of her nose. Poor thing . Good thing she’s not on formula anymore, b/c those kinds of poops and spit ups STANK! I honestly feel like going back on the liquid and soups only diet for her b/c I don’t like seeing her (and hearing her) be all fussy.

Well I need to force myself to sleep now. G’nite.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!! Yeah we represent b/c the keiki are part Irish. For as long a I can remember, my parents have been big on the whole corned beef and cabbage dish. And no I’m not talking about the stuff that comes out of the can! Although I’d much prefer the latter. I’ve never been big on the stuff and it cracks me up that the BM, who is actually Irish, doesn’t even eat the stuff, not even his grandparents. My parents always cook the stuff this time of year.

Having a bit of a late start this morning. I’ve gotta put gas in the car, *shakes head* It’s ridiculous how much we have to pay for gas! We pay the MOST than anywhere in the country apparently. Not fair! Considering we’ve got a refinery just on the other side the Bay! Then I was going to check out the new $1 store up the street. BabyM is napping and lilmiss is watching Ni Hao Kai lan.

Been watching a bit of movies as of late too. Finally got a chance to watch 27 Dresses and absolutely loved it. And then last night the lilmiss and I watched Enchanted, but I didn’t love it as much. It seemed promising and the lilmiss was totally into it at first but then we got bored towards the middle and then it picked up at the end. Next up on the movie list is No Reservations.

This week we’ve got an Easter get together on Wednesday, hopefully the weather cooperates. Then my mom is off to Arizona at the latter end of the week for a funeral. And then on Saturday we’ve got the Easter thing at karate and a bday party to attend. Then Sunday we’ve got the fam bam thing at my mom’s. So far I’m making bibingka malagkit and premade lumpia to fry over at mama’s. And then I’m debating between cupcakes and mini cheesecakes. Or maybe deviled eggs? I’m soooooo not big on coloring eggs and then eating them later… I’m big on stuffing the plastic eggs with chocolate goodness .

Okay I’ve got a few things to do before the baby wakes, b/c I hear some stirring… Happy Monday everyone!

If they hadn’t induced me, today should have been babyM’s birthday. Which means she is 4 weeks old/ 1month tomorrow. My time is already flying by . She’s still teeny but I can tell she’s gained some weight b/c her carseat/infant carrier is getting heavier. I honestly can’t complain. She’s a good baby. I keep thinking it’s b/c she isn’t quite “ripe” yet. Heh. That she needed those extra 4 weeks that she didn’t get in the womb. But maybe, just maybe she’ll stay a good baby . *crossing fingers* The one thing I wonder is how big she would have been at delivery if she got all that extra time to “bake”??? J was a week late or maybe right on time. We got two different due dates for him and one was for the week before he was born and one was for the actual day he was born. Either way he weighed in at 7 lbs 7 oz. Lilmiss was forced out via induction at 38 weeks and weighed 7 lbs.

Last night I ordered a few of the announcements that I had been playing around with in PS and picked them up from Costco. They look awesome! So tonight I ordered more. And then while at the mall… we were attacked by the salesperson at Kiddie Kandids. They were having a slow day and trying to pull in customers. Soooo babyM took photos which got us 12 free announcements and a free 8x10. FREE!!!

As much as I like the regular PB cups… for some reason I like the seasonal stuff. It tastes different to me. I like the Christmas trees too. Yummay! Do they make ‘em in hearts too during Valentine’s?

They definitely taste different from the regular cups, probably b/c there’s less chocolate and more PB! Yum!

If it were up to me, the whole 6-8 pack would have been gone already. And it doesn’t help matters that they’re on sale this week at the Tar-jey for $1.66. But only 2 have been eaten b/c my mom has made me paranoid that chocolate is bad for the boobie feedings. I know it’s an old wive’s tale, but still… whatever mom says I at least try to do .

As an aside I totally forgot about this blog! All ’bout dat candy!

We’re slated for yet another down pour sometime within the next 24 hours, and it had better not be like last month’s!!! No power for over 24 hours is NOT fun! Thankfully the big kids are still over at my mom’s so I don’t have to worry about entertaining them! HA!

Spent a teensy bit of one on one time with the lilmiss today and she was driving me up the walls. We went to the mall to do a few exchanges and pick up a birthday gift for my cousin’s son. She refused to hold my hand. She would run ahead. She would hide in the racks. She would take clothes off the racks and walk with them around the store thinking I was going to buy them, regardless of size. She wanted to be able to see the other kids, despite where I wanted to go. OY! It’s no wonder a headache was brewing. I should have known better and brought the stroller to corral her ass. I was supposed to bring her home tonight to hang out but 1. she was cranky and 2. my brother is taking the kids to a birthday party (my cousin’s son’s 3rd birthday). My mom has ordered to me to stay home anyhow with the weather and all.

Hearts, cards, flowers, and candies… the non-Holiday has somehow crept up on me. And normally I’m all about the hearts and the red and the cards but this year apparently I’m not. I don’t even have Js class Valentine’s. I did look at them, without him and opted NOT to get them and let him choose, but I haven’t managed a trip to the store with him. I’d better hurry up. And then today a note was sent home with what he NEEDS to bring for the class party. I knew there was going to be a class party but I like the option of choosing on my own what he’s contributing. Unfortuantely no homecooked goodies b/c of allergies and such. Sucks to be a kid nowadays. I’m sure they don’t care though as long as the sugar laden treats are brought in huh? I just never liked those store bought cookies and cupcakes. Blech!

But yeah I’m just not into it. My poor children. Heh. I’ve been seeing the things at Tarjey, but walk right past them… and I’m sure there’s slim pickins now. A month ago I managed to change the table linens to reflect V-day with a red table cover and heart placemats, but no one seems to care or notice. Heh. Oh wells…. soon after that is St Patty’s Day and then Easter…. OY!

It’s coming up on naptime for me . The boys are out again today so it was just me an the lilmiss. We headed to Costco for some tp, blueberries, bananas, Cuties, and lunchmeat. At her request we had hot dogs for lunch too. Then we headed to the mall so I could pay my mom’s bills. I hadn’t been to that particular mall in about a month and it seems everyone and their mama was there as well. Walked quite a bit in the hopes that she would fall asleep on the way home… but of course that didn’t happen.

So I’ve got a couple loads of laundry to do. When don’t I? And lilmiss is watching Noggin. The rain has reappeared and I’m trying to think what we’re going to eat for dinner… french fries are totally on my mind, but that probably won’t happen.

The consumption of rice in these parts has been more than usual. When my mom is “home” there is always rice and shoot by the way I’ve been cooking or eating rice you would think she was here. She’s not…. not yet anyhow. Yeah you better believe I’m counting down .

I got my nap in yesterday… by accident . But I so totally needed it. I can’t do it today though b/c I’ve gotta wake early tomorrow to bring J to school and head to my appt. So I’ve gotta keep myself busy from the time we pick up J from school until we head to karate.

Last night’s dinner was… just alright by my standards. The pork should have been more flavorful, I don’t know what went wrong. But the kids gobbled up 2 bowls full each (of course appropriately sized bowls for their sizes.) So guess what? They get to eat the leftovers for dinner. Heh… They won’t like what I’m attempting to cook for myself anyhow, certainly not J that’s for sure, pork and mungo beans. My mom makes it killer, like broke da ‘mout, and although I’m not good at the ethnic recipes… I’m going to give it a try. Can’t be too hard right? I just need to run to the store and get some garlic and chicken broth. Already soaking my mungo beans and the pork has already been cut up. I’m also gonna throw in some spinach that I still have. Sometimes my mom throws in shrimp or even coconut milk, but I won’t bother with that just yet. I’ve been wanting to make some bibingkang malakit but again, who else is going to eat it. Pfft… so much for that.

Okay time to finish up the lunch dishes, head out to the Asian market, and then get J.

WOo hoo the sun is shining today

I think I went and left my pa-china in the parking lot of Costco today. Lifting too much weight when I’m not supposed to *spanks own hand*.

J’s science project is done. As far as we’ve been told, the Science Fair is on Thursday but I don’t know if there is going to be an assembly or anything like that. He was a special chosen candidate by his teacher. Not everyone had to do it, I thik 3 out of 20 in his class. It’s nothing to him though b/c he’s been doing his “own” Science project since 1st grade. This was an easy one!

My lil Canon point and shoot has an auwe too . The left top corner of the screen is cracked. It’s still very usable but still! That’s my just in case camera and my little avi camera too. So after seeing that I got all worried about my little “big gun”. It’s safe and sound. After all these years though in the same camera case in the bottom of my purse it never experienced any harm!!! Maybe it was feeling neglected? Heh?

So although J has a day off from school today, he’s still got karate tonight. Gonna finish off the leftovers from yesterday and maybe whip up some mini blueberry cheesecakes!

So S’s friend works for Gap Kids and she grabbed a bunch of samples for J. Unfortunately NOTHING fit. Not a thing. I think S made the mistake of saying, “get something for an 8 year old”. Sure J is 8, but he’s not the size of your normal 8 year old. He wears anywhere from Large to 10 to 12. All the stuff she got was size M (8). Ugh how frustrating.

I brought some stuff over to my old work and one of the moms bought some stuff. At first she got all excited and grabbed a bunch of stuff. Today she returned the majority of it and only ended up buying 2 things. Now I have the daunting task of taking pictures and posting to craigslist. UGH! I’m really hoping to get rid of the goods b/c it’s a lot of stuff. 2 down vests, 2 big down jackets, another jacket, a pair of warm up pants, and 2 pairs of shorts. With the way weather has been going, someone is bound to need it right??? I hope so!?!

Today we went to Stonestown to exchange some things. My sister got N these really cute HK things and the sizes were ALL wonky. The jacket too small and the pants too big, she got ‘em all in size 3T. I ended up getting her size 5 in the jacket and even the size 2T pants were still too big. AIYAH! Who the hell was their fit model, a skinny tall waif?

So the winds and rains are back again. Oh boy *rolls eyes* Yesterday was clear skies. I think the sun might have even made a small appearance. I don’t remember anymore. But today we’re really back into full swing. Lilman has karate and hula again. Joy! Normally I wouldn’t mind so much but with the rains and such and the parking and the driving. BLAH!

I did manage to go out with the lilmiss today too. There was a break in the rain so we made our way to pick up some french fries and a Target run. I needed some foil, garbage bags, and shampoo…. but of course came out with some other stuff . Geez. Found a tiara to replace the one I broke for the lil miss in the $1 section. YAY! And I also picked her up another wand. I also found her a cute dress, a denim skirt, and a white sweater… all in the clearance section. I think I paid $10 for all 3 items. Then what’s a trip to Target without checking out the snacks. Lol. I needed to replenish the extra stuff that I put in J’s lunchbox… so I got some Goldfish and granola bars. And for me some Mint Milanos . I also picked up a value pack on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch b/c cereal is running low.

Chicken enchiladas tonight. Should be good. Need to eat and leave soon… I think I’m in a better mood today than yesterday!

So I’m doing well with some of those resolutions I put upon myself and some not so well.

1.stop yelling @ my kids I think I’ve been doing pretty good. Albeit I need the cooperation of the kids, and that’s no easy feat b/c #1 is an instigator and #2 is a whiner/ crybaby. But seriously I think I’ve been doing alright with that one. I don’t feel my blood boiling as much. It just boils for other reasons, that I won’t bother to get into.

3. cook more home cooked mealsHa! That’s a joke as for dinner yesterday we had pizza to enjoy with the sad , very sad, football game yesterday. And today although we didn’t eat dinner out, I also didn’t put any big efforts into cooking something wholesome for the kids. They had grilled ham and cheese sammiches with apple slices. I, on the otherhand, had a bowl of cottage cheese with peach slices and a handful of blueberries. Then topped it off with a TJ’s oatmeal raisin cookie. I need some oatmeal in my life . I’ve been trying to get a bowl of wholesome oatmeal in the morning, but it just hasn’t been happening.

4. eat out less Yeah another HA! BM brought home Wendy’s for lunch yesterday, and as I mentioned we had pizza last night. And although I hadn’t planned on eating BK, we were at my aunt’s house and my uncle picked it up for everyone. I guess they weren’t planning for lunch and the other option had been pizza but her grandkids are not fans. Good for us, being that we had pizza the night before.

5. use the computer less I’ve actually been very good about that one too! Yay me! I’ve decided to try and not get on the laptop until the lilmiss is asleep. Achieved 2 nights in a row. I will twitter from my phone though but not much.

6. spend more time with J I’m trying, but I need to work on that better. It’s just difficult b/c N doesn’t nap and she gets very jealous.

7. take more photos w/ my camera HA! There’s still photos sitting in the camera from the 30th and 31st and no attempts to get them out. And I just haven’t been feeling it.

8. de clutter Yeah haven’t gotten there yet.

9. stop swearing I’m not sure, I haven’t been consciously watching/ listening to myself. Working on #1/ #2 certainly aids in this one though.

In other news… I’m honored , I was nominated to be part of the Yelp Elite ‘08. I’ve always wanted to be part of the Elite but never bothered to submit why I should be on it. I don’t think I ever would have… instead today when I opened my email there it was ! Which only means I want to Yelp! more, but that would require me to be out and about more. Heh. So yeah. I’m a dork , I thought you knew!

I’m all out of sorts today b/c I didn’t get much sleep last night, had to wake early this morning, and now the BM is home. It’s more that he’s home that’s throwing me off b/c normally on weeknights he’s at work at this time, and most especially on Fridays we don’t see him til the next morning.

Yeah I don’t know what happened to me, but I had a helluva time falling alseep last night, I think it was 3:30AM and by the time I was all into my sleep, my sister called from LA for my wake up call @ 7:30AM. I took my time getting up though and by the time I was all ready to go she called me from SFO. I picked up my good old box of Aloha from Mama !!! The majority of the contents were Christmas ornaments, , and of course the keiki made out like bandits. BM and lilman got UH Warrior gear to sport for the Sugar Bowl on Tuesday. Heh. Colt Brennan is such a cutie!

Then by the time I emptied the contents of the box and put them away, it was time to go to the movies. As planned for a few weeks now, we met up with lilman’s friend and his family to catch the matinee showing of Alvin and the Chipmunks. Very cute movie! Lilmiss was good for the first 30 minutes of the movie and then she got restless. Thankfully the movie was only 1.5 hours long. I’ll have to admit I did snooze out a little bit, not b/c the movie was boring or anything but b/c of lack of sleep.

Originally we were going to join them for lunch, but bailed out and ended up heading to Costco. Got hot dogs, a rotisserie chicken, and stocked up on some chicken for the freezer. I’ve been having an itch to make some fried chicken wings *slurp*. On the way home, stopped at dim sum, b/c we missed out the other day. Heh. And finally made it home. Filled our bellies and sooner than I know it, I’m on the couch… snoozing away. I wake up to find BM home and the keiki watching a DVD.

Lots of things to do this weekend too. Gotta meet up with my sister to pick out tiles and bathroom things for the revamped bathroom that is occurring @ our parents’ house and then Sunday is Blue Christmas with friends down the peninsula. I still haven’t figured out what to bring for that either. Normally I would pick a dessert but it seems that’s what everyone else has signed up for, and how NOT fun would that be?

Hopefully I can get some sleep tonight, despite taking a nap again today b/c it’s an early morning again tomorrow. Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Tonight, we drove the peninsula to pick up some gifts from my aunt’s house. Then the keiki made a byline for the mall for some last minute things. I promised them they could spend their Barnes and Noble gift cards they were gifted in the mail the other day! How excited were they? I came up empty handed in what I had been looking for so sitting and waiting for them to pick books was a nice change.

Lilmiss originally had this Fairy book set in her hands but we came across… this lovely boxset of Princess goodness. 12 little books that have been keeping her busy for the past 20 minutes! It’s so cute. It’s got a little handle on it and everything, so she can tote it around all she wants. I told her when we head to bed I’ll read her a few . Nice b/c they’re not all wordy. It was a bargain book find and well worth the little money that it was, $9.98. If I didn’t have gifts for some friends’ kids, I would definitely consider getting it for them too.

Lilman chose a Magic Tree House book Blizzard of the Blue Moon and a Pokemon book. He’s really excited about his books too, at the moment he’s making himself some bookmarks. I hate dogearred books/ pages. BLAH!

I was going to attempt to wrap gifts tonight, but I guess I’ll save it for tomorrow. Or Sunday. Or even Monday. LoL. We’ve got a few things planned for the weekend. Tomorrow the keiki and I are supposed to head to the ghetto to decorate some cookies with the Cookie Gals in the evening. And Sunday evening, we’re headed down the peninsula to hopefully delight in some Christmas lights. Christmas Eve will just be us hanging about. So yeah we should be a teensy bit busy.

Only 5 more days until Christmas. Are we ready? Eh, I don’t think so.

Today we made a run to Costco in hopes of finding the kitchen still there. Shit. Out. Of. Luck. I needed to pick up a few things but decided not to, and we headed to ANOTHER Costco. Down the peninsula we drove in hopes of finding our kitchen. Shit. Out. Of. Luck. Went looking for those other things that I needed as well and…. Shit. Out. Of. Luck. *sigh*

So we headed to TRU in hopes of finding our 2nd alternative. Guess what? Shit. Out. Of. Luck. So instead we settled. I hate settling but really what can we do, 5 days before Christmas. I told BM to just nix the whole kitchen idea and leave a note saying that we’ll get back to her. Not that she would care, but I’m sure the lilman would put things together. As if he hasn’t already figured us out . But we warned him that he didn’t believe, Santa would more than likely NOT leave him gifts. So yeah we got a kitchen and that shall go out Christmas eve while they slumber. We also picked up some play “food” and a crown for her. For the lilman we got the Justice League set he wanted and some Transformer things. He’s actually rather difficult to shop for this year. I’m tired of all the usual junk that he accumulates. Then it was off to Tarjey in the hopes of finding some other things. He asked for footie pajammies and so we got him those, 2 pairs! Heh. He loves those things, lilmiss not so much. We also got him the Avatar Air Bender Book 1 DVD set. Almost picked up another Princess for lilmissy but put it back. I really wanted to get her the Hannah Montana guitar and headset, DUDE! If you’ve seen her “perform” you’d get it for her too. Unfortunately the one at Tarjey had been played with enough times that it wasn’t even turning on anymore. BM says it might have just been the batteries, but I didn’t want to risk getting it and it not working at all.

That was that, and so we had lunch at Red Robin. YUM! Fries. And then we came home, but before that I indulged again. Lol. This time I went for the Venti Chai Soy Latte. I think next time it will just be the grande. B/c the tall wasn’t enough and the Venti was more than enough. We came home and hid the gifts for wrapping for later.

BM is going to get the remainder of the boy’s gifts, DS games. I feel like he has so little in comparison to what N is getting. She is so much easier to shop for though and things for her don’t cost quite as much. Tomorrow I’m heading to Tarjey again to get a few stocking stuffers like candy and such. Lilman gets out of school early, so BM said he would pick him up. Then we’ve gotta head down the peninsula again to pick up gifts from my Aunt. Maybe I can get lilman to give me some input on what to get BM.

I still need to run back to Costco too to pick up those foodie things for Christmas appetizers. Or maybe I won’t. And I’ll just suck it up and pay grocery store prices. We’ll see.
